The group was founded in 1939 and celebrated its 75th year in 2014.

Originally the group name was 21st Bath (Victoria Hall) which referred to the building in which it originally met. However the group has used its current site and building since the 1970’s and so more recently it was felt more useful to refer to the area in which the group meets (in common with other groups in Bath) so the name was changed to 21st Bath (Larkhall).
